OSXFAQ Reader Tips
Mail Tip For Mozilla Users In Mac OS X
OSXFAQ Reader Tip By Daniel Brieck
A tip to Mozilla Users who are trying to use Mozilla as their
main browser. Here is a helpful tip to get mailto links to open in your
default mailing application.
How can I get for example "mailto:email@mail.com" type of
link to open in Mac os x's Mail Applicaion.
Assuming you're using the standard CFM based build (which is what most
people are using right now), go to
~/Library/Mozilla/Profiles///
and create a text file called (user.js).
In that file, place the following line:
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.external.mailto", true);
Then, save the file and restart Mozilla. You should be good to go.
Enjoy!
If you would like to see your tip here send it to us at contribute@osxfaq.com, You could be famous to!!
