New Earphone Technology Delivers the Ultimate Portable Listening Experience

Legendary microphone manufacturer Shure Incorporated unveils consumer earphones

The introduction of the Shure E Series in ear earphones takes listening to new heights for general consumers who want studio-quality sound on the go. Combining high energy driver technology, isolation, personalized comfort and portability, the E2c and E1c offer features, which have only been available to professional musicians for onstage use until now.

Utilizing small in ear speakers or "high energy drivers," Shure E2c and E1c earphones deliver an intimate listening experience full of accurate detail and rich, high fidelity sound. Unlike typical headphones or earbuds on the market that enclose, rest on top of, or sit on the outside of the ear, the E2c and E1c actually fit inside the ear, creating an isolated listening space which allows users to focus on the audio.

Isolation and Comfort - The E Series features a Fit Kit, which includes a selection of soft foam and flex sleeves to ensure a secure and personalized fit, as well as continued isolation from background noise. This enhances the listening experience by enabling the listener to hear greater detail at a lower volume, which can be less fatiguing over extended periods of time and safer than competing with ambient background noise. The experience may also uncover subtleties in recordings that may not have been noticed before.

Portability - Weighing less than an ounce, both the E2c and E1c come with a zippered carrying case, making them ideal for commuting, travel, exercise, study, and work. The earphone cables are designed to pass behind the ears - discreet and beneficial to listeners with active lifestyles.

The Bottom line: - Musical accuracy, isolation from noise, and comfort converge as high-energy drivers deliver incredibly precise studio-quality sound directly to the ear in an acoustically optimal listening environment - the in ear earphone difference.

The E2c ($99) and E1c ($159) can be used with any audio or video device such as MiniDisc, CD, MP3, and DVD players.

Purchase: Shure E Series earphones will be available for purchase online directly from Shure in mid-October by visiting www.shure.com/ears http://www.shure.com/ears or by calling 1-888-88-SHURE.
