Christopher Breen - Mac Guru - Tech TV / Contributing Editor - Macworld

Christopher Breen has been writing about the Macintosh since the latter days of the Reagan Administration for such publications as MacUser, MacWEEK, and Macworld.

As a contributing editor for MacUser he co-wrote the magazine's popular Help Folder column with Bob LeVitus. As a Macworld contributing editor he first penned the magazine's Game Room column and, later, Macworld's tips and troubleshooting column, Mac 911. He also answers questions and offers tips in the Mac 911 section of Macworld's weekly newsletter http://www.macworld.com/newsletters

He's the co-author of two books -- The Macintosh Bible Guide to Games (with Bart Farkas) and My iMac (with Andy Gore and Jill Baird) -- and has contributed to numerous editions of Peachpit Press' Macintosh Bible. He's the sole author of Peachpit Press' Mac 911 and Secrets of the iPod (Second Edition).

He appears in video form in Breen's Bungalow, a QuickTime tutorial found on the CD bundled with newsstand copies of Macworld. He's also a regular guest on TechTV's Call for Help and Screen Savers programs.

Prior to becoming a technology journalist, Christopher spent a number of years seated on a piano bench, making his living as a professional musician in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Breen lives with his wife, child, two cats, half-dozen Macs, and barely tolerable broadband-satellite connection in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains.
