Adam C. Engst - Publisher of TidBITS

http://www.tidbits.com/

Adam C. Engst is the publisher of TidBITS, one of the oldest and largest Internet-based newsletters, distributed every week to hundreds of thousands of readers. He has written and co-authored numerous Internet books, including the best-selling Internet Starter Kit series, and many articles for magazines, including Macworld, where he is currently a Contributing Editor. In addition, he has collaborated on several Internet educational videos and has appeared on a variety of internationally broadcast television and radio programs. He also holds positions as Chairman of the XNS Public Trust Organization, President of the Info-Mac Network, and Director of Charitable Licensing for the FreePPP Group. His indefatigable support of the Macintosh community and commitment to operating at a personal level resulted in him being ranked as the third most influential person in the Macintosh industry in the MDJ Power 25 survey of industry insiders and the fifth most influential in the "Most Influential Figure in the Mac Industry" poll of MacDirectory readers. And unlike Steve Jobs (who was number one in both surveys), Adam has been turned into an action figure.
