Dr. Mac's OS X Tip-of-the-Day
Dr. Mac - Perhaps the greatest Internet Explorer keyboard shortcut of all time...
By Bob LeVitus
I don't know why I've been doing so many tips for IE lately but I'm all
out after this... After yesterday's tip about the grabber hand, I
received this email from a patient:
> By the way, speaking of Explorer tips - while this might
> seem elementary to you and me, I can't tell you how many
> people I've turned on to the "hit the space bar" method of
> scrolling in an Explorer page.
So that's another one I use all the time that I never thought of as a
"tip." But I suppose if you don't know it, it's a tip and then some.
So here's the deal: In IE, the spacebar scrolls down one pageful, and
ALT-spacebar scrolls up one pageful. When I surf, I slap my spacebar
so often it must think Is hate it.
:-)
Again, this tip is not Jaguar only. It's not even OS X only.
If you use IE you're not using it, there's a good chance that you're
working too hard.
