iSight Mounting Options
So you have the GREAT new iSight, but you want some different mounting options for it ???
Here is some COOL options you have for mounting your iSight.
The first aftermarket vendor to produce is MacMice.
** SightClips **
SightClips is a set of three well thought out, well built mounting
solutions for your neat little iSight webcam. Included are: a display
mount that's tailored for the top of Apple Cinema and Studio flat
panels; a desk stand that actually sits up high enough to use; and, a
shelf-edge mount, for people with shelves behind their computer setups.
All three pieces are hand crafted from clear acrylic in the United
States, and will make durable, helpful companions to anyone's iSight
webcam.

Next Derrick Story shows how to mount the included mount that ships
with the iSight to a tripod mount.
This is from Derrick's story ....
For many of your projects you can use the iSight attached to your Mac as
you would for web conferencing. But for interviews and movie making
you'll want to attach the camera to a tripod. I recommend a "quick
release" model that makes it easy to attach and remove the iSight.
Use the iSight adapter with the flat plate on the bottom. You can push
the tripod mounting post up through the opening and secure it with a
tripod adapter bushing that can be purchased at any photo store for less
than a buck. Now the camera can be securely attached to the tripod for
filming.

And the last is a trip to the hardware store.
Colin Foster put together a detailed write-up on building a
re-attachable (glue-free) iSight mount for Apple Studio displays. Colin
says that the mount is solid and can be built for US$2 with parts from
Home Depot.
