Dr. Mac's OS X Tip-of-the-Day

Do Not Download Today's Dr. Mac's OS X Freeware Pick If You Know What's Good For You!!!
By BOB LEVITUS
Well darn it all to heck. I had almost gotten over my addiction to Giles
Williams' fabulous freeware gem JewelToy when what happens? He releases
another update, this time with half-a-dozen new jewel sets! I hate Giles
Williams. He's cost me more perfectly good productive time than just about
anyone this year. JewelToy is one of those rare games of the, "easy to play;
easy to master; impossible to stop" variety. A game only takes a few minutes
and I know I find myself saying, "Just one more before bed..." all too often
after midnight.
So while today's Freeware Friday pick is indeed JewelToy, I implore you not
to download a copy. It could very well ruin your life. It's insidiously
addictive.
Don't believe me? Well, it's one of only a handful of games on
VersionTracker with a perfect 5-star rating. Here are just a few of the
comments:
I can't stop playing this game. Think my kids are going to take out a "contract"
on me so they can get the computer back.
Yep ! I've had a severe (JewelToy) addiction for about 6 Months now.
JewelToy rules the world. Just in time for summer. I know what I will be doing
for the next couple of months.
I hate this game. It's consuming all of my time and I cannot stop playing.
Thanks for the great freeware.
I looked at all these five star reviews and thought it must be rigged! Until I
downloaded it. . . It IS addictive! And great fun!
I really should sue the maker. I can't get any work done! This game is a lot of
fun. The best time killer around!
Fun & addictive game! Lookout...you won't be able to stop playing. Thanks so
much!
So there you have it. You've been warned. I've got to go play one more game
before bed.
You can get your own copy (if you dare) at:

Have a great weekend. See y'all Monday!
