Kate's Freeware Friday Jaguar Pick.

OSXFAQ Reader Tip By Kate Bornstein

Remember that tip a while back about getting your screen saver (especially Marine Aquarum) to play on your Desktop?

Remember how ya had to go into the Terminal and enter all sorts of code to start and stop the thing?

Remember how much trouble that was for a really cool but basically stupid Mac trick?

Well, trouble no more! The WAY neat and generous folks at Freshly Squeezed Software (http://www.freshlysqueezedsoftware.com) have a cool freebie called Backlight, which slaps a little item up on your menu bar, and getting your screen effects (as they're called now) to play on your desktop is now a simple matter of selecting *which* screen effect you wanna play!

It's totally free, but following Dr. Mac's lead, I gladly donated some money via PayPal to these guys for this fun gizmo at Freshly Squeezed.

Happy Friday!

Enjoy :-)
