eZeMatte v1.0 A New Plug-Ins For iMovie 2 Running On Mac OS X

eZedia Inc., a leader in digital media software technology, today released eZeMatte 1.0, the first in a series of plug-ins for iMovie 2, the world's most popular, easy-to-use consumer digital video editing software from Apple. eZedia's eZeMatte plug-in allows users to overlay any QuickTime supported image over an iMovie clip to add borders, frames, themes, logos or any customized graphic.

"Users can either use one of the 10 overlays that comes with the eZeMatte plug-in or create their own customized overlays for their iMovies, including adding borders or company logos to a movie or clip," said Stefan Embleton, President and Chief Executive Officer of eZedia Inc. "This is the first in a series of plug-ins from eZedia, following our mandate of producing incredibly powerful authoring software that lets everyone communicate through the digital medium."

"The power and stability of Mac OS X combined with the ease of use of iMovie 2 has created an incredible opportunity for developers to create plug-ins and for consumers to make great iMovies," said Ron Okamoto, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. "The eZeMatte plug-in gives iMovie users another great feature that makes movie-making an even more exciting and enjoyable experience."

eZeMatte 1.0 comes with 10 theme overlays and automatically re-sizes all images that do not already conform to the DV format size (720 x 480) to fit the frame. eZeMatte requires Mac OS X and iMovie 2.1.1 or greater , and can be purchased by visiting the eZedia web site.

eZedia released the newest version of its primary product, eZediaMX, at Macworld San Francisco in January 2002 with great success, being singled out as one of the most innovative products at the show. eZediaMX revolutionizes multimedia authoring and editing with a unique visual linking environment and intuitive interface. eZediaMX combines superior media handling with innovative interactivity tools and sophisticated logic elements that will unleash one's imagination and enhance their digital lifestyle. eZediaMX can be used to quickly and easily create presentations, videos, slide shows, portfolios, animations and interactive CD-ROM projects.

Utilizing the latest technologies such as QuickTime, Java and OpenGL, eZediaMX provides advanced features such as movie and media masking, non-destructive video editing, animation, text to speech, sound mixing and fading and full control of VRs, all without programming and scripting. It has never been easier to combine and edit all media formats including video, graphics, animation, sound, MP3s, VRs and text.
