Command Sets for Safari and iChat - "Way COOL"

New Voice Commands Released For Safari And Ichat

Macintosh speech middleware vendor CommandSets.com announces the release of Command Sets for Safari and iChat, bringing the total number of commands sets available to 19. Anyone with Mac OS X can use the sets with the English Speech Recognition software built into the OS. Sets for ViaVoice and iListen are also available.

The Safari set has 75 commands and allows users to surf the net using their voice. The set will be priced at $10, but everyone who purchases now can do so for only $7.50. The introductory price is good until Apple declares the final 1.0 version of Safari. All who purchase now will also get a free upgrade to the final version of the set when Safari 1.0 is released.

The iChat set adds 39 phrases that can be spoken to assist the user in controlling the various functions of iChat, including logging on and off, changing text styles, sending messages and much more. The iChat Command Set is priced at $7.50

All Command Sets from CommandSets.com are designed to work with either PlainTalk from Apple Computer, ViaVoice for Mac OS X from IBM, or iListen 1.5 or later from MacSpeech, inc. Users must have Mac OS X 10.1.5 or later installed in their computer. (All Mac OS X users have Apple's English Speech Recognition technology - also known as PlainTalk Ñ already installed on their computer.)

Any Mac OS X user can benefit from speech technology, which frees your hands for other tasks. CommandSets.com offers a free TextEdit Command Set with over 40 commands for those interested in exploring speech technology on their computer.
