iTunes (revisited) - Browse Cover Art

By Adrian Mayo - Editor - OSXFAQ

There's a really cool piece of software under development. It's called CoverFlow and is a visually stunning way of browsing your iTunes albums. A picture is worth a lot of writing, so here it is.

To appreciate its beauty you need to grab a demo. The covers move in realtime as you flip though the collection, with the reflections rendered in realtime too.

If you get tired of the iTunes visualizer (discussed in earlier tips), grab a new one. There are many to be had, for example from pluginsworld.

And from Apple's downloads there are many iTunes add-ons

Or, from the CoverFlow people above, there's GasLight.

To install an iTunes plugin drag it onto Library:iTunes:iTunes Plug-ins either in your home directory or, to make available to all users, the same directory at the root of your system disc.

Restart iTunes and select the new visualizer from the Visualizer menu.

Here are a few more freeware application to enhance iTunes from previous OSXFAQ tips.

Enjoy! :- )
