OSXFAQ Mac OS X Tip-of-the-Day
Save As (and Open) Dialogue - Drag and Drop
By Adrian Mayo - Editor - OSXFAQ
The previous day's tips have shown how to quickly navigate the to desired folder in a Save As dialogue box.
If the folder to which you wish to save is visible in the Finder, avoid having to navigate to the same folder in a Save As dialogue box by using Drag and Drop. Simply grab the folder from a Finder window and drop it anywhere onto the Save As window. The Save As dialogue will centre on the dropped folder.
Drag a file onto the Save As window to select that file and its enclosing folder as the target for the save.
The same tricks work for the Open dialogue too.
Enjoy !! :- )
